Join the Halvren founding cohort.

Halvren is opening a paid research tier for Canadian investors who read 10-Ks on the weekend. The Halvren Checklist, the current watchlist, and the full research pages on this site will always stay free. The paid tier is where the deeper, more frequent, subscriber-only work goes. Founding members lock in lifetime pricing. The cohort caps at 150 seats.

Questions readers actually ask

Who is this for?

Canadian DIY investors who read filings themselves. Operators in energy, materials, infrastructure, real estate, and software who want to see how patient public-market capital evaluates their peers. Family offices and small allocators who prefer one disciplined research source over ten dashboards.

What exactly do I get that I cannot get on the free site?

The public site carries the Checklist, the three-name current watchlist with FY data, and three full research pages (Cameco, Canadian Natural, First Majestic). The paid tier adds two new full writeups per month on names not on the public site, a quarterly watchlist update with changes flagged, a subscriber-only chat with the principal, and an early-read before anything is made public. Pro adds the monthly "On the desk" deep dive, a quarterly live call, direct email access, and disclosure of positions held.

How often do you publish?

Paid tier: one public-free essay plus two paid writeups per month, plus the quarterly update. Pro adds a monthly deep dive and a quarterly live call. No calendar commitments beyond that. If we do not have something worth saying, we will not say it. Cadence you can rely on is built on quality you can trust.

Is this investment advice?

No. Halvren publishes research and commentary for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing we write is a recommendation, solicitation, or personalized investment advice for any particular reader. We are not a registered investment adviser, portfolio manager, or broker-dealer, and we do not manage client money. Before acting on anything you read, consult a licensed advisor in your jurisdiction. See Terms for the full disclaimer.

Do you disclose your own positions?

Pro subscribers receive a quarterly snapshot of the proprietary book with positions disclosed. On the public site and in free essays we state when the author may hold a position in a name discussed. We do not publish position sizes or transaction timing, and we may buy or sell at any time without notice.

What happens if I cancel?

Cancel anytime through Substack. Monthly subscribers retain access through the end of the paid month. Annual subscribers can request a pro-rated refund within 30 days of the most recent annual payment by emailing amirali@halvrencapital.com. Founding lifetime pricing applies as long as the subscription is active and in good standing.

Why is the pricing this low?

Halvren manages its own capital. The paid tier supports the depth of the writing, not a headcount. We would rather have 200 engaged Canadian DIY readers than 10,000 casual ones. The founding rate is how we find the first group.

Is Halvren a fund I can invest in?

No. Halvren manages proprietary capital and is not currently accepting outside investors. The paid tier is a research subscription, not an investment product. Those are different businesses in different regulatory categories.
